Capture Your Autumn Moments in Scotland

Scotland provides the perfect setting for all things food and drink in autumn. It is famed for a delicious natural larder and rightly so - you only have to glance at menus in award winning restaurants up and down the country to see that the very best seasonal produce is served up daily.
2010 is the Year of Food & Drink, making this an excellent time to attend exciting festivals or follow a foodie trail around the country. Don’t miss Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight in September, which is set to be the best yet, with events taking place on islands, in castles and historic houses, and at the heart of cosmopolitan cities. Celebrity chefs will show off their culinary talents and there is fun to be had for the whole family.
From succulent venison to Scotch beef and an abundance of delicious fresh seafood hauled ashore every day, there is plenty to choose from. Take advantage of the autumn harvest and sample apples, damsons, plums and pears, also wonderful as jams or to accompany grouse, partridge or venison. Lamb is another tasty delicacy with rich flavours.
Don’t forget that Scotland is famed for whisky so touring world famous distilleries is a must. Enjoy a warming dram after a day of exploring.
