Where to drink in Dundee

THE STATUE OF DESPERATE DAN, Dundee

Pubs and clubs have grown bigger and better in this City of Discovery. Students tend to drink in and around the Perth Road in the city’s popular West End, although new cocktail bars and even wine tasting rooms in a converted jute mill are now attracting a more mature and affluent crowd.

If you prefer olde worlde, with low ceilings, couthy snugs, real ale and good views of the harbour, then head to the quieter, seaside suburb of Broughty Ferry.
