Fizz and Jazz at the Old Course Hotel to celebrate Royal Wedding


A celebration brunch inspired by Prince William is to be served at the 
Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa to mark the Royal Wedding on Friday 29 April.

The Old Course, St AndrewsThe Royal groom met the resort's owner, Herb Kohler, whilst studying at St Andrews University and spoke of his love of jazz. A series of jazz brunches have since been staged at the resort - and the theme is to be repeated with a Celebration Jazz Brunch Buffet in the award-winning Road Hole Bar, overlooking golf's most famous par four hole.

Daniel Pereira, General Manager of the Resort says: 'We know jazz is a passion Prince Williams and we can think of no better to celebrate the Royal Wedding than with one of our popular Jazz Brunches." 

'Guests will be able to sample the most delicious cuisine with the soothing sounds of Jazz whilst watching what is arguable the wedding of the Century on large screens around the bar'.

The buffet menu has a fabulous collection of starters - with many of the ingredients sourced from local, regional and Scottish producers - including Glazed Ham, Salmon Platters ' Smoked, Poached, Grilled & Hot Smoked, Couscous salad, Tomato & Mozzarella, Rocket & Parmesan, Sweetcorn & Chestnut Salad, Rabbit & Lentil Terrine and a Tomato & Penne Salad.

The provenance theme continues with main courses of Beef Rib, Mushroom Linguini, Herb-crusted Sole, New Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Chicken Stroganoff and Baked Potatoes. The buffet concludes with a mouth-watering selection of deserts - Pear Crumble, Chocolate Mousse, Bread & Butter Pudding and a Cheese Platter.

The Road Hole Bar is a favoured destination of whisky aficionados from around the globe who flock to the award-winning watering hole to sample the stunning selection of over 260 malts.

Daniel adds: "The bar is a sophisticated yet wonderfully relaxed venue on the top floor of the hotel with stunning views over the links and West Sands. It has a superb reputation for an array of classic cocktails and we very much look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy this very special occasion."

The Road Hole Bar will be open throughout the day with big screens around the bar to ensure all can enjoy and celebrate the Royal Wedding. The Jazz Brunch Buffet takes place from 11am to 2pm and costs just £30 per person - £15 for children - and including a glass of fizz for mums and dads.
